We are so weird – us humans. We make up rules that we hate, force ourselves to follow them, get into trouble if we don’t, and then wonder why life is so hard … Of course, there should be some guardrails (can’t trust ourselves completely, either) but surely not to the point that most things are so void of joy that we need to create special activities to have some fun?
Because we had construction things done at home this week, I took my dog along to my communication studio. How refreshing! Puzzle made everyone feel special, welcome, and loved (he is very good at being friendly). Work was such a pleasure and maybe even more creative and productive than it usually is.
I want to be the crazy lady bending the rules (within reason), and dropping some joy into my days (maybe not within reason). Are you with me?
